Offshore Wind-Power to the People: Organizing for Community Benefit

  • Woonsocket Harris Public Library 303 Clinton Street Woonsocket, RI, 02895 United States (map)

You're invited to the third of a four-part series of stipended community education sessions, organized by Rebuild Woonsocket Community Movement and Green Energy Consumers Alliance.

Offshore Wind-Power to the People: Organizing for Community Benefit

Join us on Wednesday, May 27th, 6:30-8:30 pm, in the Woonsocket Harris Public Library Program Room (303 Clinton St, Woonsocket, RI 02895), as we learn together about how offshore wind projects are approved and the ways community members can get involved to shape projects and negotiate Community Benefits Agreements!

Snacks will be provided, and stipends are available on a first-come, first-served basis (the first 25 folks who RSVP and indicate that they would like a stipend, and stay through the duration of the training, will receive them). The event is kid-friendly and you're welcome to bring friends. Just keep in mind that each person who would like a stipend must RSVP individually. By RSVPing, you consent to being added to a calendar invite for the event, and to photos being taken at the event and publicized by Rebuild Woonsocket Community Movement.

RSVP here!
