We’re Rebuild Woonsocket.
This is a Community Movement.

Making a Difference

We’ve accomplished a lot over the past 5 years. We go where we’re needed, responding to emergent issues in the community with the resources we have - from advocating for the rights of our unhoused neighbors, to canvassing for environmentally-just ARPA investments, to co-founding Woonsocket Pride. We make a difference by mobilizing our neighbors towards just, community-driven environmental, housing, and health policy and progressive social transformation.

    • We’re currently collaborating with a research group at Brown University to price out economic fairness in building decarbonization

    • We’re also running a series of community educational sessions called Offshore Wind-Power to the People

    • We co-facilitated an Offshore Wind Leadership Development Cohort, and launching a similar program in Woonsocket in 2026

    • We mobilized community members to advocate with us for municipal ARPA priorities of clean water, affordable housing, and public health

    • We co-facilitated a series of community workshops on decarbonization with partners around the state

    • We organized public engagement for the State of Rhode Island’s Climate Action Strategy Plan

    • We’re currently building community support for housing justice and the civil rights of our unhoused neighbors

    • We help out with the mutual aid and food justice work of The Milagros Project

    • We advocated against a municipal camping ban

    • We empowered the community and advocated for municipal ARPA priorities of clean water, affordable housing, and public health

    • We’re currently working with Primary Care for All Americans, a national campaign working on the state and local level to build towards universal healthcare

    • We mobilized community members to advocate with us for municipal ARPA priorities of clean water, affordable housing, and public health

    • We’ve done a ton of voter registration (including door-to-door!), to give our disenfranchised neighbors a voice

    • We gathered community input on ARPA priorities: clean water, affordable housing, and public health

    • We partnered with the Woonsocket Alliance to Champion Hope on a series of civic education seminars

    • We co-founded Woonsocket Pride alongside a group of other queer organizers, fiscally-sponsoring the work until it grew into its own, fabulous organization, and continuing to support with programmatic work in 2026 and beyond

    • We’re currently partnering with Woonsocket Pride to administer the Community Assistance Fund, getting much-needed cash assistance out to queer folks in Woonsocket who need it
